The 8th GHI African Stakeholders’ Conference is fast approaching – a key gathering for aviation professionals to address skills, leadership, and sustainable growth across Africa’s aviation sector (conference programme).
For more than 20 years, Global Load Control (GLC) has been delivering remote aviation services to global airlines, helping them operate safely, efficiently, and at scale across multiple geographies. With teams in Cape Town, Belgrade, and growing footprints in Windhoek and stations such as Zanzibar, we understand both the global standards and the local realities of aviation.
GLC Voices on the Agenda
We are proud to have two of our colleagues contributing their perspectives at this year’s event:
-
Simone Brueckner, Global Operations Executive – taking part in The GHI Big Debate: How do we smash monopolies and unleash Africa’s true aviation potential?
-
Markus Becker, Managing Director – speaking on the Future Leaders Panel on developing and retaining the leadership talent needed to deliver on Africa’s long-term aviation vision.
Our Approach
At GLC, we know that operational excellence is built on people and expertise. Many of our colleagues began their careers in load control before stepping into supervisory or management roles. Through structured training, coaching, and exposure to complex operations, we provide airlines and ground handlers with access to experienced professionals who can adapt and excel.
What sets us apart is the partnership we build with our clients: we don’t just deliver a service, we share our expertise and work together to strengthen performance and resilience.
Why This Matters
Africa’s aviation sector is poised for significant growth, but unlocking its full potential requires strong leadership and collaboration. With airlines such as Ethiopian Airlines, South African Airways, Airlink, Lufthansa, Emirates, IAG, Air France-KLM, Mozambique Airlines, FlySafair, Proflight Zambia, and Air Zimbabwe confirmed to attend, the conference will bring together a diverse mix of local and international perspectives.
GLC’s contribution is to ensure that airlines, whether African or international, can rely on safe, efficient, and scalable support from teams who understand both the technical complexity and the human side of aviation.
Looking Ahead
We look forward to joining peers in Cape Town for two days of discussion and debate. The GHI African Stakeholders’ Conference provides an important opportunity to collaborate on how to grow leadership, retain talent, and strengthen aviation in Africa and beyond.
