On Saturday, 20 September 2025, millions of volunteers across the globe came together to mark World Cleanup Day, a movement uniting people, organisations, and governments in tackling the waste crisis and protecting our environment.
At GLC, we are proud to have joined this global initiative as part of the Lufthansa Group’s help alliance – the Group’s nonprofit organisation dedicated to social and environmental projects worldwide.
💚 In Cape Town, our colleagues and their families rolled up their sleeves to clean Brokenbath Beach, a small but popular spot in the Sea Point area loved by both locals and visitors.
💙 In Belgrade, our team gathered at Blok 70A, a lively riverside neighbourhood along the Sava River, to collect litter and restore the community space.
These efforts were not only about waste removal; they reflected our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility across all GLC locations.
And beyond the impact, it was a chance for our people to connect with each other, enjoy the sunshine, and experience how good it feels to do good together. 🌿☀️
