Heritage Day is all about recognising the cultures, traditions, and stories that make South Africa unique – and this year, the GLC Cape Town team brought that spirit to life in full colour.
Colleagues arrived in cultural outfits, shared traditional homemade dishes, and filled the office with laughter, connection, and a real sense of pride. From samoosas and boerewors to Xhosa-inspired prints, shweshwe, saris, headwraps, and beadwork, everyone brought a piece of their heritage to the table literally and figuratively.
What made the day special wasn’t just the food or the outfits, but the atmosphere. Colleagues swapping stories, asking questions about each other’s backgrounds, and celebrating what makes us both different and connected.
These moments reminded us of the vibrant identities that shape who we are and strengthen the values we live every day. Cultural understanding is central to how we #Respect one another. By celebrating our heritage together, we continue to nurture inclusion, tolerance, and a workplace where everyone feels seen and valued.
