Recognising Collaboration Across the Lufthansa Group
Last night, Lufthansa Group presented the Collaboration Award in Seeheim, Germany. Around 250 guests attended the ceremony, which celebrated initiatives that embody the 2025 theme: Connecting People. Embracing Diversity. Growing Together.
We are proud to share that Seasonal Peak Support was honoured in the People category – and Global Load Control (GLC) was part of this winning achievement.
About Seasonal Peak Support
The initiative was initially launched at Munich Airport to strengthen operations during the summer rush. Seasonal Peak Support was created to ensure operational stability during high-demand travel periods by pooling expertise across Lufthansa Group companies.
Together with colleagues from Lufthansa Group, Lufthansa Services Thailand (LST), Lufthansa Ground Services Portugal (LGSP), and Lufthansa Global Business Services (LGBS), GLC stepped in to provide Airport Loading Supervisor (ALS) hub and station support.
GLC’s Role
By deploying highly experienced colleagues from our Cape Town and Belgrade offices, alongside colleagues from Porto and Bangkok, GLC helped:

Support smooth turnarounds at busy hubs

Relieve pressure on local station teams

Maintain operational continuity not only at Munich, but also at Frankfurt, Berlin, Lagos and other stations during peak periods
This contribution showcased both GLC’s operational expertise and the value of global collaboration within the Lufthansa Group.
Growing People and Opportunities
Now in its second year, Seasonal Peak Support has become a powerful example of collaboration in action, delivering seamless summer operations while creating valuable career development opportunities for GLC colleagues. Temporary secondments allow our staff to gain hands-on experience in new environments, broaden their skill sets, and contribute directly to Lufthansa Group’s success.
Looking Ahead
Seasonal Peak Support demonstrates how collaboration strengthens resilience, enhances service, and develops talent across the Lufthansa Group.
