GLC at IATA’s 39th IGHC 2025: Insights from Nairobi

From 13–15 May, Global Load Control (GLC) was on the ground in Nairobi for the 37th International Air Transport Association (IATA) IGHC Conference – and what an impactful event it was.

Held in the vibrant capital of Kenya and hosted by Kenya Airways, the event brought together ground handling and aviation professionals from across the globe. For GLC, it was an invaluable opportunity to engage with industry experts, connect with customers and prospects, and gain fresh perspectives on the trends, challenges, and innovations shaping the future of aviation.

Throughout the conference, Markus Becker and Yolanda Bilang Haynes represented GLC, taking part in discussions that highlighted the evolving dynamics of global ground operations. From digital transformation and sustainability to efficiency and safety, the sessions offered real-time insights into how the aviation sector is adapting and innovating.

Networking played a central role at IGHC 2025. It was a privilege to meet face-to-face with longstanding partners and new connections – all equally passionate about enhancing operational excellence and the passenger experience. These interactions not only strengthened relationships but also opened doors for future collaboration.

Being part of the IATA IGHC reaffirmed GLC’s commitment to staying ahead of the curve. Conferences like these are more than just calendar highlights; they are strategic touchpoints that keep us aligned with the industry’s pulse and positioned to support our clients with scalable, future-ready solutions.

A big thank you to IATA and Kenya Airways for a well-organised and inspiring event. We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to continuing the conversations that started in Nairobi.
