At GLC (Global Load Control), we believe that hands-on learning is one of the most powerful ways to grow – both as individuals and as a team.
Recently, two of our colleagues from GLC Cape Town and GLC Belgrade joined a Ramp Day at Frankfurt Airport (FRA), experiencing first-hand the coordination that drives one of Europe’s most important aviation hubs.
The experience offered an inside look at the highly coordinated operations that keep flights running safely and efficiently around the world. From observing aircraft loading and fuelling to witnessing compartment inspections and the correct loading of dangerous goods in line with global IATA safety standards, the day highlighted the precision, teamwork, and communication required across every role on the ramp.
For our colleagues, it was an exciting opportunity to travel, connect with peers, and experience the scale of global flight operations first-hand. For our airline partners, this type of cross-centre learning translates directly into greater operational awareness, enhanced collaboration, and a shared culture of safety and excellence.
These international exchanges are not only exciting career experiences for our team – they also deepen our shared expertise and strengthen the value we bring to our airline partners worldwide.
A big thank-you to our partners at Frankfurt Airport for making this learning experience possible
