MentorMEA: A Partnership for Growth and Innovation

On January 27, 2025, four Global Load Control (GLC) colleagues had the privilege of participating in the inaugural MentorMEA Programme, a Lufthansa Group mentorship initiative designed to foster career development, leadership growth, and cross-border collaboration in the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region.

This six-month programme brings together professionals from 25 locations to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and shape the future of aviation leadership. The kick-off event at the Lufthansa Aviation Centre in Frankfurt set the stage for an inspiring journey ahead, filled with impactful discussions, leadership workshops, and networking opportunities.

A Day of Learning and Connection

The energy in the room was palpable as mentors and mentees engaged in open dialogue, gaining fresh perspectives and building meaningful connections. The experience reinforced key leadership principles: cultural awareness, adaptability, and collaboration—all crucial for driving innovation in aviation.

But mentorship goes beyond guidance; it’s about creating opportunities, broadening professional horizons, and fostering continuous growth. A key takeaway? While mentorship provides the tools for success, true progress comes from the willingness to learn and actively engage.

GLC’s Commitment to Talent Development

Being part of MentorMEA aligns with GLC’s strong commitment to professional development and industry collaboration. We believe that investing in our people not only strengthens global partnerships but also creates a dynamic environment where aviation professionals can thrive.

As we embark on this journey, we’re excited to see the long-term impact of the programme—not just for our team, but for the aviation industry as a whole.
